Rubber base swimming pool paints are the most popular type used today. They are relatively low in cost, easy to apply and provide an attractive finish in swimming pools. Two coats are suggested for good adhesion and durability. There are two types of rubber base paints, chlorinated and synthetic. You can expect from one to three years of service from a rubber base enamel.

Optilon is an economical synthetic rubber base formula meeting all the quality performance expectations of chlorinated rubber base paint. Optilon can be applied to bare concrete or plaster as well as over old rubber base paint. Optilon has excellent chemical resistance and color retention while yielding 2-3 years average service. Two coats are recommended. Coverage: Approximately 250-275 sq. ft. per gallon.
