PuriFiber Cellulose Filter Media 25 lb.

Purifiber cellulose precoat filter media is the ideal replacement media for traditional DE filter systems. 25 pounds of Purifiber is equivalent to 100 pounds of Diatomaceous Earth. Purifiber's light weight means migration from the filter is no longer a problem. Normal circulation of the water will keep the material suspended and cycle it back to the filter grids.

Because of its fibrous nature, Purifiber will often "weave" itself over small ruptures in filter elements, also reducing the incidence of migration.

Purifiber polishes the water by forming a dense uniform cake on the filter grid-which in turn, enhances filtration. There is no need to dismantle the filter for cleaning as it is easily backwashed out of the filter.

Because Purifiber is absolutely nontoxic, no personal protection equipment is required when handling it. Made from pulverized pulp, it is safe for the environment. When disposed of in landfills, natural decomposition occurs.

Purifiber works safely with all types of filtration equipment including vacuum, spin disc, pressure dome/tube filters, regenerative pressure filters, cartridge and bag filters, leaf element filters and sand filters.
