Upon review of a properly completed credit application, credit may be established with Net 30 terms. A service charge of 1.5% per month is charged on invoices over 30 days old. Alternate methods of payment include payment in advance by check or money order drawn on a U.S. bank (please allow up to 2 weeks for personal checks to clear) or payment by credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover). Credit card payments must have a verifiable U.S. billing address.

Credit Card Payments

When you pay for your order on RecSupply.com using a credit card, your card will be charged at the time of the sale. While many items we offer are in stock for immediate shipment, others may require some lead time to ship. If it is one of your first times ordering from us, your order must ship to the billing address of your chosen payment method. We will contact you if we are unable to ship to the address you provided. This policy exists to reduce fraudulent orders and protect our customers. If you prefer not to pay for an item until it ships, or if your order must ship to a different address than your billing address, consider applying for Net 30 payment terms by filling out and submitting a credit application.

All prices are FOB Origin. Due to market conditions, all prices are subject to change without notice. Despite our best efforts, it is possible for an item in our catalog to be mispriced. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation. Customer's order is an offer to purchase. Acceptance of an order by Recreation Supply Company takes place only once goods have shipped.

Our goal is to get your standard ground service order to you as fast as we can. We have distribution centers in three locations (Missouri, Connecticut and North Dakota) to serve you better.

In-stock orders received by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time typically are shipped the same day. In most cases, we ship items from the nearest distribution center that is stocked with the item(s) you ordered.

Non-stocked items typically ship directly from the vendor and are dependent on vendor location and manufacturing lead times. If shipment is needed by a certain date, please contact us to ensure that we can meet your requirements.

If an item's availability is marked "Contact us for availability information," then it is either an item that typically ships direct from the manufacturer or it is temporarily out of stock. Information is constantly changing for these items. For the most accurate information, you must contact us to request lead time information about these items.

In-stock, non-truck items typically ship via either FedEx or USPS at our discretion. USPS orders are typically shipped via Priority Mail service, which takes 1 to 3 days for delivery. FedEx orders ship via Ground service to the 48 contiguous United States, which takes 1 to 5 days for delivery.

Note: Hazards and Truck Shipments will require additional processing time. Due to ongoing impacts of COVID-19 on shipping infrastructure, unanticipated delivery delays may occur. While we continue to do our best to meet our order processing goals, during peak order months of May and June, order processing time for stock items may be extended by a day. If your needs are time sensitive, please be sure to contact us to discuss the best options for meeting your requirements.

If an order includes items that ship from our warehouse combined with items that ship directly from the manufacturer, it may appear in the Order/Invoice Tracking list as "Pending" even though the order has shipped. With our current ecommerce system, order status does not change to "Shipped" until the order is invoiced by our Accounting Department. Normally we ship stock items within 24 hours. We are happy to provide order updates on request.

 

All color samples are approximations due to the limitations of exact color reproduction on computer monitors. For exact colors of paint or fabric, please email us and request that samples be mailed. Returns due to dissatisfaction with color will be subject to our return policy.

Reagent Refills Shelf-Life

Since each reagent type is unique, trying to narrow down shelf life to one particular period of time for all reagents is impossible.

One common rule of thumb is to replace reagents at the beginning of each swim season. However, given proper care, many reagents can provide accurate and reliable results for longer than one season.

Date of manufacture is not the controlling factor when it comes to shelf life. Storage conditions are more important. Reagents are sensitive to environmental influences and will last longer under controlled conditions.

Reagents should be stored at 25°C (room temperature) and away from heat, humidity, moisture, direct sunlight and cold conditions. The storage temperature should be kept as constant as possible, without large fluctuations in temperature. Reagents should not be kept refrigerated, unless specified otherwise in the kit instructions or packing literature for the reagents. Reagents should not be stored in work vehicles, utility rooms, pool and pump houses or other environments where conditions may be harsh. Exposure to such conditions will compromise the quality and stability of reagents and shorten reagent shelf lives. Replace caps immediately after use and tighten carefully so that exposure to air and humidity is limited. Avoid switching caps, placing bottle caps on soiled surfaces, pouring reagents into contaminated containers, or touching test strip pads.

Since reagents are not 'made to order,' some of the published shelf life is lost on the manufacturer's shelves, in transit, or on distributors' shelves. As a result it is unreasonable to expect to receive reagents with the full published shelf life. We have consulted with our reagent manufacturers to determine reasonable expectations for remaining reagent shelf life once a reagent reaches a consumer. This allows us to publish a Reagent Shelf Life Guarantee for reagents purchased from us.

Lamotte ReagentMany LaMotte pool and spa reagents have shelf lives of 2 years or more at the date of manufacture, although several have much shorter shelf lives (see below). LaMotte has begun printing expiration dates on their reagents to help you know when to replace reagents. Except for the reagents listed below or as noted on individual item pages, we guarantee LaMotte reagents that we supply to be good for at least one year when stored correctly and under proper conditions.

  • LaMotte P-6741 DPD 1B Reagent – 12 months shelf life at time of manufacture, at least 6 months guaranteed shelf life when shipped
  • LaMotte 7039 Total Alkalinity Indicator – 12 months shelf life at time of manufacture, at least 6 months guaranteed shelf life when shipped
  • LaMotte 7041 Calcium Hardness 2 – 6 months shelf life at time of manufacture, at least 3 months guaranteed shelf life when shipped
  • LaMotte 7042 Calcium Hardness 1 Buffer – 12 months shelf life at time of manufacture, at least 6 months guaranteed shelf life when shipped
Taylor Reagent

Most Taylor Technologies reagents have a shelf life of 2 years at the date of manufacture. Taylor recommends, as a general precaution, replacing all reagents more than one year old, or at the beginning of a new testing season. However, keep in mind that a few Taylor reagents have significantly shorter shelf lives (see below). Taylor reagents now feature expiration dates to help you know when to replace reagents. Except for the reagents listed below or as noted on individual item pages, we guarantee Taylor reagents that we supply to be good for at least one year when stored correctly and under proper conditions.

  • Taylor R-0002 DPD #2 – 15 months shelf life at time of manufacture, at least 8 months guaranteed shelf life when shipped
  • Taylor R-0718 DPD Silver Nitrate – 15 months shelf life at time of manufacture, at least 8 months guaranteed shelf life when shipped
  • Taylor R-0870 DPD Powder – 12 months shelf life at time of manufacture, at least 6 months guaranteed shelf life when shipped
  • Taylor R-0871 FAS-DPD Chlorine – 15 months shelf life at time of manufacture, at least 8 months guaranteed shelf life when shipped
  • Taylor R-0872 FAS-DPD Bromine – 15 months shelf life at time of manufacture, at least 8 months guaranteed shelf life when shipped

Palintest tablet reagents are typically manufactured with shelf lives of 2 years or more, depending on the reagent. We guarantee at a minimum at least one year of available shelf life on the Palintest reagents we sell, with most having much more available life than that.

We order stock reagents in small quantities to keep our stock as fresh as possible, but large enough quantities to be able to fill orders completely and consistently.

If we ship you a reagent that does not meet our guarantee, we will happily discount or replace the reagent, at our option. Contact us with your order number, reagent number, and any lot number and/or expiration date printed on the reagent.

Truck Freight

Product is shipped FOB Origin. Our primary carriers are FedEx and USPS. Truck shipments may require assistance unloading and will require a signature. At the time of purchase, customers with orders shipping via trck freight will be required to fill out and return our Truck Freight Questionnaire. The purpose of this form is to confirm the shipping address as well as to identify any additional delivery services that may be required.

Freight Claims

It is your responsibility to inspect your goods immediately upon receipt. Freight companies have strict policies regarding damaged freight. Recovery claims must be filed with the carrier by the purchaser within the time limit allowed by such carrier. The loss or damage claim should be noted on the original copy of the freight bill by the receiver. If you sign for a damaged package without noting the damage at the time of delivery, they will often not allow the claim. Please make sure you inspect your packages before accepting them. RSC is not responsible for goods damaged or lost in transit. We will gladly help customers establish any just claim for damaged goods. Contact us immediately for assistance with damaged shipments.

Return Merchandise Authorization

Products being returned for credit must be accompanied by a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and proof of purchase (i.e., an invoice or packing slip showing proof of purchase). An RMA number may be obtained by calling customer service at 1-800-437-8072. The RMA number must be written on the outside of each package of goods being returned. Returns must be sent freight prepaid. All returned merchandise must be in original packaging and in new condition. Returns must pass inspection at our facilities prior to issuance of credit. Authorized returns in original condition may be assessed a restocking fee.

Shipping and handling charges are not eligible for credit. The actual costs of shipping an order eligible for free or flat rate shipping will be deducted from credit.

Orders for custom merchandise or special orders cannot be canceled once processed. Certain items may not be returned for credit. This list includes, but is not limited to:

  • Inflatables that have been inflated
  • Items in special-ordered sizes or colors
  • Unsealed test kit reagents
  • Paint types or colors not commonly stocked by RSC

Any item that is not in its original condition may be unacceptable for return. Merchandise may not be considered for return 30 days after the invoice date for the product.

You charged me the wrong amount of sales tax. How can I get that corrected?

Why did my ball arrive deflated? It didn't look deflated in the picture!
All sports balls ship partially or fully deflated to minimize risk of damage and keep shipping costs reasonable. If you purchase a sports ball from us, you are expected to have the means to inflate it. We do offer a small selection of ball pumps, which may be purchased separately.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Typically, orders for in-stock items ship within 1 business day. Estimate 2 to 5 additional business days for FedEx Ground or USPS shipping. If your order includes custom merchandise or non-stocked items (e.g., lifeguard chairs, water polo cap sets, water basketball units and several other items ship direct from the manufacturer), your delivery time will likely be somewhat longer, depending on product availability and manufacturer lead time. If you have specific time requirements, please contact us for a delivery estimate.
Why isn't there any tracking information for my order?
While we do email tracking information for orders that ship from our warehouses, we are not yet able to provide the same notifications for drop shipments through email or our website. We are working on improving this aspect of our customer service. and the functionality on our website is currently under construction. Please email us for any tracking information that you may not have received. We are happy to help!
Why don't you offer Next Day Air service on RecSupply.com?
We sell such a broad range of sizes and shapes of products that it is very difficult for us to make an accurate freight quote for air services available online. If you require faster service, please request a Next Day Air or Second Day Air freight quote in the Comments field when placing your order. We will be happy to give you estimated air shipping charges for your order.
If I email you on Friday night, when can I expect a reply?
Our business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. We are closed on weekends. Any calls or emails received after 6:00 p.m. Eastern on Friday will be addressed Monday during business hours in the order they were received.

In addition to weekends, we are also closed on the following days: New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Additionally, we operate with very limited staff on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We cannot typically respond to phone calls or emails on these days. Orders received on these days will be processed on the next business day.
